Lauren Keiser is CEO/President of Lauren Keiser Music Publishing. He is the President of the Music Publishers Association of the United States, the oldest trade organization in America, is the Vice-Chairman of the International Confederation of Music Publishers, sits on ASCAP's Board of Review and is a member of ASCAP's Symphonic and Concert Committee. He served as CEO/President of Carl Fischer, one of the oldest and largest "classical and educational" music publishers in America, for 21 years building the historic company to new heights including the acquisition of The Theodore Presser Company on behalf of ownership.
Prior to that he was CEO/President of Cherry Lane Music and was with that company for 10 years building the company from 1974-1985 having established a magazine company, a book division, a music print company, software division, mail order firms and a record division in addition to expanding the music copyrights and administration services. He has also served as the CEO/President of Astor Music and Books, publishing music education products with Sesame Street, Looney Tunes, Walt Disney and Peanuts.
He has spent the majority of his career supporting composers, producing and promoting their works. Lauren is also a published and performed composer. His work for string orchestra, "EROS." was selected as the only American work to be premiered at the 29th Annual Fall Moscow New Music Festival by the Union of Russian Composers and it was presented the following year by the Kiev New Music Festival sponsored by the Union of Ukrainian Composers. He has published and edited hundreds of music books, folios and arrangements. He created, started and was a co-founder of "Music in Our Schools," the annual national celebration of school music in the United States.
