About this item
Written for the 2001 Kansas All-State Jazz Ensemble, this original emulates Pat Metheny's evocative heartland style. The melody is often carried by unison saxes, with colorful brass countertextures added for depth. Solos are for trumpet and tenor, and a swinging sax soli midway through adds essential contrast and dimension.
