David Springfield (1969-)
Presently serving as bass trombonist and arranger for the Kluvers Big Band in Aarhus, Denmark, he formerly taught jazz composition and directed the Jazz Lab Ensemble at the Eastman School of Music, where he earned undergraduate and graduate degrees before joining the faculty.
David's arrangements have been performed by such artists as Branford Marsalis, Jim Pugh, Lee Konitz, Phil Woods and Joseph Alessi, and in 1994 he received an award from Downbeat for his arrangement of Claudio Roditi's Portrait of Art.
