About this item
Named after a small fishing village in Baja, California, this cheery samba features solo trumpet throughout (written solo lines are provided, but improvisation is encouraged). Ultimately, the success of this chart lies in the rhythm section's ability to maintain a steady tempo and play together in sync. It's playable by 9-17 pieces, includes a guitar chord chart by Jim Greeson, and was commissioned by the Seattle Youth Jazz Ensemble and The Commission Project of New York.
