About this item
This could be described as film music without the film! Each of the five movements in this suite, depicts a different scene from an imaginary movie in a style typically found accompanying a science-fiction film in recent times. The five movements are 1. Pet robots;2. The captured princess awaits her rescuer; 3. Invasion of the killer ants; 4. Death of an alien warrior; 5. Victory march of the space-lords. Just hope that all these scenes do not occur in the same movie!!

Composer
Richard Kershaw (1946-)
Richard Kershaw was born in Leeds in 1946 and educated at the City of Norwich School and Balliol College Oxford, where he read Music. He graduated in 1968 and went on to take a D. Phil. (1976) with his thesis on "The Solo Keyboard Works of J.N. Hummel".
After a short spell teaching at Aberdeen University, he joined the music staff of Sherborne School in Dorset, where he has remained ever since. In 1999 he changed to part-time teaching which has enabled him to concentrate on composing (mainly for children) as well as indulging his passions for birdwatching and alpine gardening. He plays cello and piano.
