Mikis (Michael) Theodorakis (Greek: Μίκης Θεοδωράκης, pronounced (born July 29, 1925, Greek island of Chios) is one of the most popular Greek songwriters and composers. Internationally, he is probably best known for his songs and for his scores for the films Zorba the Greek (1964), Z (1969), and Serpico (1973).
