About this item

Moritz (Maurice) Moszkowski was a German-Jewish composer, pianist, and teacher of Polish descent on his father's side. Ignacy Paderewski said: "After Chopin, Moszkowski best understands how to write for the piano, and his writing embraces the whole gamut of piano technique." These three dances are superb orchestrations of pieces taken from his well-known Spanish Dances Op.12 originally composed for piano duet.
