Written to feature the Nathan Childers Trio as guest soloists with the Ithaca College Jazz Workshop, this swing original is dedicated to Steve's son Miles, the bassist for that group and a gifted jazz musician. Based on the changes to Bye, Bye Blackbird, this Charlie Parker style bebop tune features bass, alto sax, and guitar (or vibes) playing the melody and improvised solos. Rhythm section parts are partially notated with chords cued.

Steve Brown is a British composer.
He wrote the book and lyrics (with Justin Greene) and composed the score for Spend Spend Spend, which chronicled Viv Nicholson's rise and fall after winning a fortune in the football pools in the early 1960s.
