About this item
Use of music from this Organ Symphony in the film "Babe" and on other occasions in film and tv have recently led to an increase in its popularity. The majestic theme is often requested as a bridal march at weddings. This excerpt starts at the "big tune" and runs, unabridged, to the end of the symphony. The parts have not been simplified but the orchestration has been reduced to a "standard" symphony orchestra by omitting the 3rd flute, cor anglais, bass clarinet & contra bassoon. The piano duet part (only 8 bars but how can you leave it out?) is arranged for one player.
Instrumentation
2 Flutes, 2 Oboes, 2 Clarinets in Bb, 2 Bassoons 4 Horns in F, 3 Trumpets in Bb, 3 Trombones, Tuba, Timpani, Percussion (Bass Drum, Cymbals) Strings (Violin 1, Violin 2, Viola, Cello, Bass), Piano, Organ
